I think I am getting close.....

One of the reasons for starting to put my thoughts into a blog was to attempt to organize my brain and come up with a way to find some 'healthy balance' in my hectic life.  Well folks, I think I am getting close. In the last week, I have felt my energy levels skyrocket.  I am sure it is due to many things that have changed or been added to my life in the past couple months but seriously....I have energy and it feels great! Definitely the drop from three nursing jobs to one has made a huge impact on the balance in my life.  My brain is focusing on one set of coworkers, policies and procedures and working schedule and over the last 3 months I have released quite a bit of stress.  Plus, no nights, weekends or holidays for this girl.  Makes a huge impact on my family and I don't feel like I am letting them down anymore by not being here which equals less guilt. September Low or High?

Where has September gone?  It seemed to fly by probably due to a number of things; boys back to school, working full-time, start of hockey season etc.  At the end of the month I usually add up my running mileage and record it.  I am a bit of a numbers, charts and graphs freak.  Well September was a bit of a low....to put it mildly. I find it so hard to believe that I did not do any running in September.  None.  Zilch.  Zero.  Well, I did run 1 km with Karson but really does that count?  But I'm not going to panic.  I am not going to say that it's because I am working five days a week or that I haven't run because the weather is getting colder, or that it gets dark too fast.  Nope, I'm not focusing on the negative.  Truth is, I accomplished a heck of a lot in September and I'm proud of it.
